E-learning for more visibility in road traffic (German only)

Now online: The “See and Be Seen” e-learning programme is the digital extension of Module 1 of the school material – featuring exercises, background information and practical insights for teachers.

A child crosses the street – brightly dressed, reflective stripes on their backpack, and an alert glance to the left and right. This is what road safety looks like in practice. But being visible in traffic is something that needs to be learned. This is exactly where the new MobileKids e-learning module comes in: titled “See and Be Seen”, this online training was developed in collaboration with the education agency Klett MEX and serves as the digital extension of Module 1 of the printed school material. It is now available online and supports teachers in helping children develop safe behavior in traffic from an early age.

The focus is on children's perception - in particular the limited visual receptiveness of children at a young age. What seems obvious to adults is a challenge for many primary school pupils: recognise other road users in good time, assess distances correctly and ensure that they are clearly visible in traffic. The e-learning programme specifically addresses this perspective and provides background information from developmental psychology as well as practical approaches for organizing lessons.

Learn digitally, act safely

The new online module provides teachers with a practical, interactive learning programme that can be flexibly integrated into everyday school life. The e-learning programme was developed specifically for grades one to four - with the aim of providing both didactically sound knowledge and directly applicable material. The speciality: In addition to clear explanations and reflection impulses, the module offers concrete teaching suggestions such as the "traffic light game", the "dark box" or the "traffic domino", which can be implemented in everyday school life without much effort.

Technically, the e-learning is a web-based, responsive learning platform. Users benefit from a clearly organised structure, clear navigation and a well thought-out didactic structure. Interactive exercises, marking tasks and small quizzes encourage active engagement with the content - at your own pace, regardless of time and place. The modular design enables both compact processing and in-depth study.

Valuable resource for parents too

The new MobileKids module is also a valuable resource for parents and interested adults: Anyone who accompanies children on their way to school or wants to support road safety education at home will find sound knowledge, everyday examples and easy-to-understand materials here. The e-learning programme is now freely accessible on the website.
